The Edge Group Inc News

The Edge Group, Inc has formed a bio-energy division, Edge BioEnergy, Inc .

This renewable energy division is focusing on producing electricity, bio diesel, ethanol and other bio-fuels for sale locally and nationally. We have also started a large scale energy design, development, integration, and construction division. We are initially focusing on anaerobic digestion, bio-fuels production, large scale wind and solar systems.

This division will be expanding into noncommercial bio-fuel vehicle conversion and bio-fuel retail sales as well.

We are currently rolling out a new and leading edge Wireless Broadband Internet Access Technology. Complete rollout is scheduled by the first quarter of this year . This is the first time that DSL grade and higher speed Internet Access up to 2 mbps service will be available "everywhere" in this area. All bandwidth is "symmetrical" as well, unlike DSL. No distance limitations, no wires, no extra phone lines, always available. Rates cheaper than DSL from the local Telco's.

Monthly access fees are: $30 per month (128kbps) , $40 per month (256 kbps) , $70 per month (384 kbps), $100 per month (512 kbps)

Equipment costs are: Residential system $280, Business system $350,  Installation Costs  $100

The Edge Group Inc has signed a multi year contract with the Lockheed-Martin FOBDWM tm and LightMover tm Program. We have been selected by LM to assist with the development of leading edge technologies and the related software that will transform the way the world uses fiber optics. This project will bring a major improvement in speed (+35,000 times as fast) to the global optical data communications networks as well as the wireless microwave technologies that The Edge Group Inc have been working with for some time.

The Edge Group Inc has also signed a multi year contract with Boeing Network and Space Systems Division to research and develop next generation communication capabilities for their terrestrial and space based advanced flight systems. These technologies will be used to optimize communication capabilities while simultaneously lower mission weights significantly.

Both of these aerospace / defense contracts are in the field of shared media access of fiber and copper network topologies as well as coaxial network media. To achieve increased efficiency, throughput and media utilization, development of new network protocols was required. By analyzing TCP/IP and other network protocols it was found that order of magnitude and higher increases in throughput were easily obtainable. In real world implementation, a 1500 mile network link over a solitary single mode fiber achieved a sustained throughput of 900Gbps at only 18% total network utilization.

As you might have guessed our company is going through a period of rapid growth and change at this time. Please bear with us on any problems you may encounter during your visit to our site.
